WELCOME TO PROJECT HUMAN.

Since the end of my last podcast — The Menu Bar — I have longed to get back into the world of podcasting. The thing is, I didn’t want to do another technology show. At least, not *just* another technology show. While I loved the concept, the guests, and everything we managed to accomplish with The Menu Bar, I always felt a little held back by its roots in basically being… well, a tech show. As anyone who knows me can attest: I have a wide, eccentric array of interests, and as The Menu Bar drew to a close, that was becoming more and more clear. I wanted to talk to everyone. And I mean everyone. Musicians, artists, filmmakers, technology analysts, UFO researchers, scientists, you name it. After all, who on earth is interested in just one single topic alone?

With Project Human, I am ready to finally create the show I always wanted to be making in the first place. My plan is to bring you a wide variety of guests and to just go wherever these conversations take us. Conversations we have in everyday life are not directed. We just have them. In my experience, it is the conversations we don’t expect to have that have the most impact.

Think of the last time you had an unexpectedly profound chat with a total stranger. You weren’t expecting to meet that person and you couldn’t possibly have planned it, but you certainly remember it. Some part or many parts of that exchange stuck out, and burned into your memory. It was exactly what you needed to hear, perhaps by total accident or mysterious coincidence. That is what I’d like to cultivate with Project Human.

Not every guest is going to interest you and not every topic will resonate. And if you’re not interested in the topics discussed on any particular episode: no problem. I don’t listen to every episode of every show I’m subscribed to, and I don’t have the expectation that you will either. Instead, I hope you’ll subscribe and just come along for the journey. My sincere hope is that some episodes do resonate, and those that do just might make you a little more curious. It is in that spirit that I have decided to create a podcast with no central theme aside from my being the host.

My North Star here is simply to bring you as many important and meaningful conversations as I possibly can.
