Witness to Australia?s most famous UFO claim questioned on ?balloon theory? on 59th anniversary of event

Marilyn Smith has dismissed any suggestion the UFO sighting at a paddock at Westall High School in April 1966 was a runaway high-altitude balloon, as one theory has suggested.

About 150 students claim to have witnessed a UFO landing in an area known as The Grange, in Melbourne.

The witnesses claimed they saw multiple light aircraft chase the UFO, along with circular patches in the grass, where the spacecrafts were said to have landed.
